I had a great stay at Khao Lak Mountain View, enjoying the beautiful hotel and good food at the on-site restaurant. However, being a bit out of the way from town made it necessary to rely on taxis or a hired bike for excursions. The hotel does offer a daily shuttle, but it doesn't run at night, which limited my dining options after dark.
